The Role

This job description is an overview of the roles and responsibilities of the Field Operations Engineer who will be a part of the Operations and work in the Utah, Colorado, Wyoming, and Montana areas. This team member will report to the Operations Manager and will work closely with a variety of Turf Tank teams.  The success of this role will profoundly impact our customers, coordinating and installing Turf Tank’s robots.


Overview

The Field Operations Engineer will be the go-to contact for each customer in a specified region. This position is responsible for installing our robots at customer sites and providing side-line support for your teammates’ customers.  This position is built around delivering supreme customer service and support. 


The Field Engineer is a customer-facing role, so professionalism and excellent communication skills are a must. The Field Engineer will also coordinate with multiple Turf Tank teams, helping teammates nationwide.


Territory: Northern California, Northern Nevada


Duties and Responsibilities


  • log all support and installation activity in our CRM/Support System Management
  • perform robot installs in your territory by coordinating with customers, sales, and our supply chain 
  • provide robust on-site robot training to customer operators
  • assist Sales with on-site field days and demos for prospects
  • patriciate in trade shows for your territory, representing the company with professionalism


Qualifications

The Field Engineer must have…

  • prior success in customer support, systems or technical support role
  • ability to communicate technical and complex information, both verbally and written
  • a customer-centric mindset, maintaining professionalism 
  • a strong ability to manage time and proven success while working independently
  • an affinity for technology, prior experience with a CRM system is preferred
  • be naturally curious and creative, creating solutions to the issues
  • the ability to stay motivated and on task
  • prior experience with, or passion for, the sports industry and sports technologies


Requirements for the Field Engineer:

  • possess a current driver’s license with an excellent driving record
  • ability to travel and work remote
  • able to accommodate varying work schedules and hours
  • bachelor’s degree is not required but preferred
  • be proficient when working with various technology devices and platforms
