Job Description

Summary

Sun Mechanical is on-boarding a Lead Service Plumber for a long-term career. This path will challenge them, giving opportunities to improve their skills and grow. Service Plumber with be performing service calls, maintenance, install, repair, on Gas, Water, Waste, and Mechanical Piping.

Requirements:

· 2-5 years in the Commercial Service Industry

· 5-10 years of Commercial Plumbing Experience

· Knowledge of Construction and Service & Repair of Plumbing Systems

· Knowledge of Hydro Jetting and sewer Camera Snaking and Locating preferred but not required

· Knowledge of Backflow Systems and the Certification Prices preferred but not required

· Good analytical skills and attention to detail with ability to read and interpret blueprints

· Excellent customer service skills with desire to exceed customer expectations

· Ability to work independently in a timely manner, making sure job is done correctly the first time

· Current AZ driver’s license and the ability to clear insurance screening with an acceptable driving and background record

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):

  • Assemble, install, and repair pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, and drainage systems, according to specifications and plumbing codes.
  • Skilled in the use of hand and power tools used in the plumbing trade
  • Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and safety practices
  • Ability to read and follow blueprints and rough drawings
  • Familiarity with PVC, CPVC, PEX, cast iron, and copper
  • Effective oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to complete projects unsupervised and unassisted
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Proficiency in basic mathematics and conversion of measurements
  • Familiar with plumbing trade terminology

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); One to two years prior Service Plumbing experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Trade Schooling, Backflow Experience and Certifications is a plus

 

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

 

Mathematical Skills

Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

 

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

*Valid Driver’s License and Good Driving Record Required

Other Skills and Abilities

Ability to Write Reports, Verbally Communicate to customers and Staff.

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
