Job Description
Position: HR Generalist
Salary: $70,000 - $101,000 /annually
Location: Escalon, CA
Job Description:
The HR Generalist will be responsible for managing various human resources functions, including employee relations, performance management, and compliance. They will play a key role in supporting our organization's growth and success by ensuring the development and implementation of effective HR strategies.
Essential Duties:
- Various human resource plans and procedures for all organization personnel; assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains the employee handbook and policies and procedures
- Company organization charts
- Evaluation of reports, decisions and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed
- Compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations.
- Provides training to management on policies and procedures
- Monitors employee performance evaluations and ensures they are done in a timely manner (i.e., three months, six months, one year and yearly thereafter)
- Attend administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars
- Counsels and guides managers before executing employee disciplinary actions
- Employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling and exit interviewing
- Reporting
- Termination
- Hand in hand with payroll department
- FMLA and leave of absences
Education/Experience:
- 5 years of HR/Generalist experience
- Degree with a concentration in Human Resources preferred
- Experience in all Microsoft Office Suite applications
- HCM systems exp.
- Paycom or other timekeeping systems exp.
- Has been an HR team member in a production environment preferred
- Safe driving
