SUPERHERO JOB SUMMARY


The Clinical Manager at The Wound Pros (TWP) is central to advancing our mission to heal wounds and prevent amputations across diverse care facilities. This leadership position involves overseeing and managing clinical operations, ensuring the delivery of top-tier patient care, and providing guidance to the clinical supervisor and staff. The Clinical Manager oversees all clinical operations, ensuring the quality assurance of clinical services. This encompasses direct communication with clinical supervisors, clinicians, agencies, facilities, customers, and various departments. The role involves managing training and education initiatives, developing and implementing policies and procedures to optimize the clinical workflow, attaining the company's standards for quality and quantity metrics, providing support for tasks related to the RITA app and documentation, monitoring the progress of patients and agencies, ensuring the quality of treatment offered. Additionally, the Clinical Manager serves as a liaison between clinicians, agencies, facilities, Clinical Supervisors, and the Clinical Executive team.


WHAT ARE YOUR ASSIGNMENTS

Supervision and Leadership:

  • Provide leadership and guidance to clinical supervisor and staff, ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
  • Supervise and evaluate the performance of clinical personnel, offering support, coaching, and mentoring as needed.
  • Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment, promoting teamwork and effective communication among staff members.
  • Ensure all clinicians optimize care, follow the highest quality standards, and increase healing rates.
  • Meet targeted team KPIs and formulate strategic planning for those KPIs
  • Create workflows, processes, policies, and procedures for clinical services


Clinical Oversight:

  • Oversee the delivery of clinical projects and patient care services, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and best practices.
  • Monitor project and patient outcomes, review clinical workflows and documentation, and maintain quality assurance in clinical services.
  • Respond to clinical questions, incident reports, and general policies and procedures questions from clinicians with follow-up and documentation.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and other team members to develop and implement patient care plans, ensuring optimal outcomes.


Training and Development:

  • Coordinate and conduct training programs for clinical supervisors and clinical staff, keeping them updated on new procedures, technologies, and industry advancements.
  • Facilitate professional development opportunities to enhance the skills and knowledge of the clinical team.


Compliance and Regulatory Adherence:

  • Ensure compliance with relevant healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and licensure requirements.
  • Stay updated with changes in healthcare laws and regulations, implementing necessary changes within the clinical department to maintain compliance.


Customer Care & Administrative Duties

    • Manage all internal and external sales and marketing reported issues, negative interactions, and customer complaints.
    • Assist in providing in-services, training, and additional support for agencies, facilities, and all accounts under TWP.
    • Serve as a liaison between the clinical supervisor, clinicians, other departments, and external customers.
    • Collaborate with administrative staff to optimize clinical workflows, streamline processes, and improve efficiency.
    • Participate in budget planning and resource allocation for the clinical department.
    • Identify metrics and formulate quarterly goals for the team to achieve.
    • Attend all required meetings for the Clinical Manager role.
    • Submit progress reports monthly to the Clinical Leadership team.
  • Commit to professional development and participate in departmental pilot testing of new products, projects, and programs.


ATTRIBUTES NEEDED FOR THE ROLE

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, health services administration, or similar.
  • Master's degree in a related field preferred.
  • RN or, more significant, licensure. (Compact State License)
  • Wound Care Certification or intent to be certified within six months.
  • Valid and unrestricted driver’s license.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
  • Performance exceeding expectations based on the last performance review.


WHAT YOU HAVE ALREADY ACHIEVED

  • Experience managing or supervising clinicians in a healthcare facility (SNF, Hospice, etc.)
  • Ability to supervise and motivate clinic staff to perform their duties efficiently.
  • Exceptional organizational skills to ensure that quality services are provided.
  • Knowledge of procuring supplies, equipment, and staff needed at the clinic.
  • Proficiency in managing budgets, billing, and negotiating with suppliers and vendors.
  • Competency with computer-based healthcare administration systems- MediXcel EMR.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills for liaising with patients, healthcare providers, and specialists, as well as the public.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Technical aptitude with the ability to adapt, learn quickly, and teach others
  • Proficient use of MS Office Suite (particularly Excel and PowerPoint), Google Sheets, Google Docs, Google Drive, etc.
