Led by a visionary team with a deep commitment to diversity and inclusion, our firm is dedicated to identifying and attracting top talent across the nation. With a unique blend of cultural insight and professional expertise, we pride ourselves on creating an environment that fosters success for both employers and candidates.
Our Am Law 200 client’s Intellectual Property Department has an opening in their Boston or New York office for a registered patent agent or technology specialist with a Ph.D. in biochemistry, molecular biology or immunology with 0-3 years of patent prosecution experience.
They seek applicants with strong academic credentials and excellent verbal and written communication skills. Both entry-level and experienced candidates will be considered. Experience in preparing and prosecuting patent applications in the areas of molecular biology, immunology, immuno-oncology, genetics, and agricultural biotechnology would be particularly useful.
A successful candidate who is not a registered patent agent will be expected to take and to pass the USPTO registration exam within a year of being hired. Candidates are encouraged to review the USPTO eligibility criteria prior to applying.
Compensation range is $150,000 to $180,000 commensurate with related experience and qualification. The salary of the candidate selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to internal equity, experience, specialty, and training. The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the firm's reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
