Istallation Technician

Summary:

The Installation Technician plays a critical role in managing in-store installations for DSA. This position is responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective installation of DSA products, meeting customer expectations, and implementing installation data. Will complete Installations, surveys and or will lead a team to complete installations, manage or supervise 3rd party installation teams, conduct occasional surveys, and maintain an elevated level of quality and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
• Train and work with other installation technicians/3rd party installation companies.
• Plan, report, and review merchandising schematics/diagrams, product displays, and store layouts.
• Provide clear directions, set performance expectations, and conduct regular audits on the work.
• Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.
Field Management:
• Able to manage teams’ multiple projects at one time.
• Support management.
• Work/Train other installation technician/merchandisers on our equipment and communicate scope of work per project.
• Monitor team activity to ensure successful equipment and merchandising installation.
• Responsible for all data entry including recaps, equipment orders, time entry, and store sign offs.
Quality Assurance:
• Manage and enforce quality standards and procedures for installations.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure work meets company and customer standards.
• Order and communicate internally any need for replacement or additional parts.
Customer Satisfaction:
.• Assist in addressing customer concerns and ensure an elevated level of satisfaction throughout the installation process.
Reporting and Documentation:
• Maintain accurate records of installation projects, including documentation of any issues and resolutions.
• Develop and maintain exit survey data by project.
• Generate reports on department performance and project outcomes.
• Provide tracking information to installation companies.
• Track and maintain records for defective/ damaged parts.
Qualifications:
• 5+ years’ experience with merchandising and installation services
• 5+ years’ experience in a leadership role within installation services or a related field (either managing installers directly or managing 3rd party installation companies)
• Strong management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills- must communicate effectively to both internal and external customers
• Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards.
• Familiarity with relevant software tools and technology. MS Excel is a requirement – must have experience maintaining substantial amounts of data among spreadsheets.
• Experience developing and streamlining key processes a plus.
• Commitment to safety and quality.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous experience in a similar industry (e.g., construction, telecommunications, technology).
Working Conditions: The Installation Technician will primarily work as a Traveling position. This position will require 90% traveling
