Job description

HWI has a fantastic opportunity to join our Value Added Services team as the Manager, Product Installation.

Summary

The Mgr, Product Installation is a highly specialized and critical position accountable for contributing to HarbisonWalker International overall business performance by assisting contract installers (CI) and customers on refractory installations, equipment purchases and installation techniques. The Mgr, Product Installation will schedule the rental of all company owned equipment, providing billing and advisor feed for equipment use and arrange traffic to and from end users.


Responsibilities
Advising directly with customers and/or contractors before, during and after an installation project to ensure a high-quality customer experience; liase with customer and/or contractor for pre-work site survey, post-work punch list and project completion sign-off
Ensuring correct handling, storage and maintenance on HarbisonWalker International owned equipment
Managing the rental, transportation and billing of HarbisonWalker International owned equipment; maintaining job log
Providing technical training with installation teammates and partners

Requirements

Requires high school diploma.
Requires good mechanical skills and knowledge of equipment related to refractory installations.
Requires a mechanical background with general field knowledge in electrical and pneumatics.
Requires five years of refractory installation experience

Requires an estimated 20% local travel 

Physical and Environmental Requirements

Physical Activity:  Requires more than 2/3 of time standing, walking, using hands and fingers, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, taking and hearing; and 1/3 to 2/3 of the time sitting, climbing and balancing.
Lifting:  Requires lifting up to 50 pounds more than 2/3 of the time; up to 100 pounds 1/3 to 2/3 of the time; and more than 100 pounds less than 1/3 of the time.
Vision:  Requires accurate, distance, color, peripheral vision; and accurate depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Environment:  Requires more than 2/3 of the time working near moving mechanical parts, in areas exposed to fumes and airborne particles, and in outdoor weather conditions; and 1/3 to 2/3 of the time working in high, precarious places, near toxic or caustic chemicals and in extreme heat.
Noise:  Requires exposure to loud noise.
