Maintenance Mechanic Manufacturing

M&Q SMTX is a growing plastics/extrusion manufacturer in San Marcos, TX, and we are looking to hire an experienced Production Mechanic/Maintenance person.

PLEASE READ QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must have at least 2 years in a mechanical/maintenance role in a plastics or extrusion manufacturing environment. An electrical background would be a definite plus.

Basic computer knowledge (email, Microsoft Word/Excel), ability to do basic math, measurements, and reading prints/instructions, and availability for on-call or issues as we are a 24/7 operation. Bilingual is a plus but not required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week. Must be flexible to be able to work weekends if needed.

Experience level and responsibilities :

* 2 years experience in plastics manufacturing 

*Troubleshoot and repair machinery   

*Perform routine preventive  maintenance

*Respond to work orders in a timely matter

*Follow all  Safety policies and procedures.  

*Knowledgeable in basic tools, equipment saw, radial   tools

* Knowledgeable in Lockout and tagout  procedures   

*Knowledgeable with electrical voltage of 120,220, 250. 480 is a plus.   

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday 
• On call
• Weekends as needed

Work setting:

• In-person
• Warehouse

Experience:

• Plastics extrusion: 2 years (Required)
• Mechanical knowledge: 2 years (Required)
