Job Title:  Maintenance Mechanic II
Shift Hours:  6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (plus OT)
Location:  South Bay
Pay:  $25.00- $33.00 (depending on experience) 
Job Class: Temp-to-Hire
Description:  Keep plant machinery and equipment in good repair.  Maintains, analyzes, and corrects problems of standard machinery as required.
  • Make repairs, replacements, adjustments, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance
  • General mechanical maintenance on various mechanical equipment such as pumps, cranes, hoist, hydraulics systems, vacuum pumps, and basic vehicle repairs
  • Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts and examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections
  • Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments
  • Install new equipment
  • Arc, Gas, TIG/MIG Welding
Required
  • Demonstrates an advanced knowledge of mechanical and facilities repair and maintenance
  • Ability to read, interpret, and verbally communicate documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manual
  • Experience in hydraulics, ability to read schematics, hydraulic and electrical
  • Read and understand complicated blueprints and specifications
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred
  • Pass background and drug screen
