OVERVIEW:
Maintenance Mechanic II plays a key role in ensuring reliable and efficient plant operations by performing skilled preventive and corrective maintenance on a wide range of manufacturing and support equipment. This position is responsible for identifying and resolving equipment issues, installing new machinery, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives with a strong commitment to workplace safety, quality, and compliance with company standards. The Maintenance Mechanic II collaborates with other team members to reduce downtime, extend equipment life, and contribute to a safe, well-maintained work environment, helping drive operational success and support organizational goals
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Follow plant safety and environmental policies when performing all tasks
  • Maintain high quality standards in all work
  • Install and start up new manufacturing or support equipment, including assembly, wiring, and equipment adjustments
  • Diagnose and repair basic electrical issues in plant equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair PLC machine controls, motor controls, AC/DC drives, temperature controls, gas burner controls, induction furnaces, and common industrial instrumentation
  • Identify and repair malfunctions in CNC machine controls
  • Address mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and lighting systems issues throughout the plant
  • Carry out preventive maintenance and inspections according to documented procedures
  • Help develop preventive maintenance schedules using OEM and component manuals
  • Repair or rebuild electrical equipment components
  • Install conduit, cable trays, and other wiring systems as required
  • MIG and stick weld nonstructural components as needed
  • Use oxygen acetylene for cutting and brazing
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the Maintenance Shift Team Leader

QUALIFICATIONS:
โ€ข Education: 2-year technical degree in industrial maintenance or equivalent combination of training and experience
โ€ข Experience: 4 years of industrial maintenance experience
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
โ€ข Frequently:
  • Standing, walking, sitting, bending, squatting, stooping
  • Lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 75 lbs.

โ€ข Occasionally:
  • Overhead work
  • Climbing ladders or stairs
  • Driving forklifts
  • Operating cranes
