Summary

The Mobile Maintenance Engineer supports and maintains the grounds and facilities including, but not limited to: Building Systems, Building Structures & Envelope (Interior & Exterior) and Grounds. Act as the first responder to facilities needs for Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing & Fire Suppression system problems within authorizations as well as coordination of required support resources.  Interpret and respond to Alarms as needed. Ensures compliant, accurate, and timely completion of corrective, emergency, and preventive maintenance in support of Client’s directives. This role is a traveling position and is on the road within the Greensboro, North Carolina region. Nights and weekends may be required for emergency services.

Responsibilities

• Performs complex repairs on equipment with limited guidance
• Advanced Troubleshooting and problem solving
• Perform general building maintenance including plumbing and pipefitting.
• Respond to or report alarms to appropriate personnel.
• Document all maintenance activities.
• Participate in PM development and optimization.
• Participate in Maintenance projects including new equipment, Root Cause Analysis, FMEA's, and Non-Conformance investigations.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair/support mechanical systems, equipment, such as valves, pumps, and utility systems.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair/support building systems, building structures, building envelops and grounds.
• Carries out duties in compliance with company, state and federal regulations and guidelines including FDA, EPA, OSHA, DEA and TSA.
• Demonstrates willingness to learn new skills as required
• Can identify issues and implement improvements
• Participate in departmental or cross functional projects

Qualifications

• A minimum of a High School Diploma is required
• A certification in Craft preferred (Trade/Technical School certification or Military equivalent)
• A minimum of 3 years of related industrial experience is required
• Is competent in technical area of expertise in building equipment and systems
• Multifaceted in areas outside of general utilities. (I.E., electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, instrumentation and controls, etc.)
• Needs to be mobile and able to independently transport (company vehicle) themselves between various sites/locations, as dictated by the essential functions and responsibilities of the position.
• Is frequently required to reach with hands and arms, talk, hear, walk, sit, climb, balance, crouch, kneel, crawl, and taste or smell
• Must be able to qualify for respiratory protective equipment use
• Must be able to lift ergonomically, as required, a minimum of 50 pounds
• Vision requirements include close, distance, and color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
• Is frequently required to talk or hear.
