Quality Control Supervisor

Spang Engineered Solutions, a division of Spang & Company, has an opening for a Quality Control Superviosr at its McKinney, TX location. This position will be responsible for the administration of the Quality System at the Texas facility.

Spang Engineered Solutions designs and manufactures custom inductive components for an array of industries including renewable energy, solar, medical, aerospace, automotive, and military. Our manufacturing locations include Pittsburgh, PA, Phoenix AZ, McKinney, TX in the U.S.A., and Xiamen, China.

Primary responsibilities will include:

• Issue and revise the Quality manual and procedures as required to maintain ISO 9001 and AS9100 conformance.
• Issue monthly Quality reports and facilitate review meetings.
• Perform Internal Product and System Quality inspections and review findings.
• Coordinate Quality problem report issuance and resolution.
• Participate in and provide support to review customer contracts, requests for quotes, and requests for information as they relate to Spang’s QMS
• Create and/or review Corrective Action Reports following 8-D guidelines for non-conforming products received by customers.
• Maintain and report product conformance to engineering and customer specifications through inspection of raw material, hardware, work in process, and finished goods. Review the production process for conformance to quality standards and report quality statistics.
• Participate in new product development to ensure proper quality assurance and control plans can be implemented before beginning manufacturing.
• Complete Customer Quality surveys and Quality audits.
• Manage Quality Control Supervisors, Testers, and Technicians to ensure performance of all internal and external quality checks.

Qualifications include 5 years of quality control/assurance and supervisory experience. A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
