Sanitation Supervisor - Bowditch, 3 am - 11 am

SUMMARY

To have all production processing and packaging equipment changed and sanitized prior to the following production day. Overseeing the Sanitation team to be successful in all initiatives assigned to the expectations of the company.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

• Follow Sanitation Master Cleaning Schedule and SSOP's
• Schedule sanitors to cover all sanitation requirements
• Assign work to sanitors and document
• Train sanitors to clean and sanitize all equipment properly and document training
• Train sanitors to cover ALL electrical equipment properly and document training
• Train sanitors to work safely and document training
• Conduct & document monthly safety meetings
• Inspect ALL work to insure work is done properly and document
• Know where ALL employees are at ALL times
• Make a list of unscheduled jobs through inspection and finish as time permits
• Document ALL extra work completed
• Control supplies, including cleaning chemicals
• Maintain ALL equipment in good clean working order, and store properly
• Communicate ANY and ALL problems for immediate resolution
• Discipline employees as necessary and document
• Enter maintenance work orders as necessary
• Inspect for potential product contamination (oil, paint, etc). Report or correct immediately
• Report or correct ALL pest control issues immediately
• Communicate with other departments in regards to equipment availability and needs
• Make sure ALL plastic & tape is COMPLETELY removed at job completion
• Make sure ALL drain covers are in place and no fruit, wood, etc enters any drains
• Report or correct ALL unsafe conditions
• Enforce GMP's and all applicable company policies
• Assist with cleaning when necessary
• Control spending and manpower
• Conduct and document post allergen line inspections
• Other duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Directly oversees employees in the Sanitation department and assists in supporting the Sanitation Manager and department Leadership initiatives. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
