To help accomplish this mission we are searching for an Abrasive Blast Technician who can mechanically clean parts prior to masking, priming, etc. Mechanical cleaning involves sand or media blasting to ensure all parts are ready for primer and paint. Abrasive blasting is an important step in the product lifecycle to ensure the parts we are sending to our customers are in top-quality condition. Responsibilities, Skills, and Physical Requirements are listed below:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Follow machine start up and shut down procedures.
Meet or exceed scheduled blast work for a given period while maintaining high-quality production.
Load and unload work areas.
Read and follow guidelines, work instructions, SOPs, and specifications.
Count all parts to ensure physical parts match paperwork.
Perform routine cleaning and maintenance on equipment.
Change out and dispose of machine’s media as necessary to ensure proper cleaning is being achieved.
Set up blast room for maximum efficiency.
