We're looking for a dependable Water Blaster to support industrial cleaning operations by performing high-pressure water blasting and general cleaning tasks in manufacturing environments. This role plays an important part in maintaining safe, efficient, and clean work areas while following MPW safety standards and customer expectations.

What You'll Do

  • Perform industrial water blasting and cleaning activities in a safe, efficient, and productive manner.
  • Clean production floors, equipment, and work areas as assigned.
  • Remove residue from underneath manufacturing equipment and surrounding areas.
  • Perform detailed cleaning of paint booths, ovens, and other designated production equipment.
  • Cover cleaned areas with plastic or paper as directed to support cleaning and production requirements.
  • Clean paint grates using caustic cleaning methods and high-pressure water blasting equipment.
  • Clean and maintain robotic equipment used within the production environment.
  • Set up water blasting equipment, including changing nozzles and spray guns as required.
  • Perform routine maintenance on water blasting equipment according to established schedules.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas and employee break areas.
  • Assist with the on-the-job training of new employees and transferred team members.
  • Complete assigned work within established timeframes while meeting or exceeding customer quality expectations.
  • Follow OSHA regulations and all MPW safety policies and procedures.
  • Report equipment concerns, safety issues, or operational problems to a supervisor immediately.
  • Perform additional duties and special assignments as directed by management.

 

What You'll Need

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred; some high school education accepted.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical concepts and equipment operation.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding manual labor throughout the workday while maintaining alertness and fitness for duty.
  • Ability to work in and around confined spaces and wear required personal protective equipment, including respirators, when working around chemicals, fumes, or similar environmental exposures.
  • Ability to travel for work assignments as needed, including overnight travel for days or weeks, and work extended shifts beyond eight hours, including overtime, when business needs require.
