Position summary:

Responsible for the operation, preventive maintenance, and clean-up of stationary and mobile equipment and to maintain a safe work area. Provide manual assistance to assigned projects.

Pay Range: This posting includes the full pay range for this position. Pay is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity.
Level I: $23.39 - $35.24 per hour
Level II: $25.72 - $38.44 per hour 
Level III: $28.75 - $43.17 per hour
Senior: $32.36 - $48.41 per hour

Reporting Relationship: Mine Operations Supervisor

Location: Gillette, Wyoming

Essential Functions:
    Complete all requirements of the WRD Operation Technician Sr and maintain satisfactory and safe job performance.
    Communicate with supervisor on operating conditions and other pertinent information of assigned work areas and vehicles. (i.e. conveyor, load out, mobile equipment, etc.).
    Be familiar with equipment operating limits, parameters, operating procedures and systems and perform corrective actions if limits are exceeded in assigned equipment.
    Utilize proper operating techniques of assigned equipment and assist with moving conveyor and trailing cables.
    Perform general housekeeping duties as assigned.
    Work safely, following company policies, procedures and work practices in a positive, cooperative, and productive manner.
    Complete all required computer and paperwork.
    Maintain professional working relations with mine personnel.
    Assist other mine personnel or job task as directed.
What Is Required:
Level I:
    High School Diploma or equivalent
    Ability to obtain MSHA certification within 90 days of  hire.
Level II: 
    High School Diploma or equivalent
    MSHA experienced Miner certification upon hire.
    Ability to communicate in writing and verbally with individuals and small groups of employees.
Level III: 
    High School Diploma or equivalent
    Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience involving equipment operation and/or maintenance.
    MSHA experienced miner certification upon hire.
Senior: 
    High School Diploma or equivalent
    Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience involving equipment operation and/or maintenance.
    MSHA experienced miner certification upon hire.

What Is Desired:
    Knowledge of mobile and stationary mine equipment.
    Knowledge of maintenance on mobile and stationary mine equipment.
    Ability to communicate in writing and verbally with individuals and small groups of employees.
    Ability to read and interpret technical manuals to complete work assigned.
