Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Business Accountant to join our team on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of financial accounting, reporting, and analysis for our organization. As a remote team member, you will have the flexibility to work from the comfort of your own home.
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including daily sales summaries, accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, sales tax preparation and general ledger maintenance.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to provide insights and recommendations to management.
- Conduct regular financial audits to ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies.
- Collaborate with internal teams to optimize financial processes and drive efficiency.
- Provide financial guidance and support to various departments within the organization.
- Stay current with accounting principles, regulations, and industry trends.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Proven experience working as a Business Accountant or similar role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Suite.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Self-propelled with the ability to work independently, confidently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in restaurant accounting or hospitality industry.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred
- Familiarity with restaurant-specific accounting software (we use Restaurant365).
- Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements for restaurants.
