The Warehouse Tech is responsible for the pulling of product on a day-to-day basis. Responsible for the loading and unloading of product to and from vendors/delivery trucks. Maintain a clean and organized work area, with keeping aisles clear and labeled. Responsible for product knowledge and internal codes used to distinguish between items. Able to work as a team to get each job completed in a timely manner to ensure it gets into the production team when they require it for the next build.

Requirements:

Warehouse Tech Essential Functions:

• Responsible for having a higher level of product knowledge

• Accountable for quality control on all parts before being brought to production

• Ensures all counts on parts received from a vendor, or on work orders match the quantities specified

• Places all product for a specific build in the prep area

• Inspect raw materials used in the production of JL Marine products

• Organize the warehouse by labeling and consolidating pallets, and ensure all like parts are stored together

• Maintain a clean and clear work area

• Maintain inventory counts when called upon

• Clear out/set-up production area to ensure parts are taken out and counted, and new product is pulled in for them to begin the next build required


Educational/Experience Requirement:

• Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; equivalent combination.

• High school diploma or GED; or 1-3 months related experience and/or training; equivalent combination, preferred

Machine and Tools to be Used

• Forklift

• Pallet Jack

Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.


Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.


Problem Solving Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.


Computer Skills: Basic personal computer skills


Working Hours:

7:00 AM to 4:00 PM Monday through Friday, with a 1 hour lunch.


Working Conditions/Physical Demands of the Job:


The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those typical in a warehouse environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud, including the sounds of forklifts and tools.


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
