Director Medical Staff Services

HCT seeks an experienced medical staff services leader for a 150-bed hospital in Tennessee. The Interim Director's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• directing, planning, and managing the daily operations of the medical staff office,
• establishing and maintaining continuity in the implementation of standards relating to credentialing, quality, education and governance functions, and
• ensuring the Medical Staff Office and credentialing program follows state and federal regulations, TJC standards, and CMS guidelines.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in related field preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience: Minimum of 7 years in healthcare with 5+ years leading a Medical Staff Services department within a hospital setting; Medical Staff credentialing, basic Medical Staff organizational structure; knowledge of TJC, CMS, and NCQA standards for hospital medical staff.
• License: None required
• Certifications: CPCS and/or CPMSM preferred
• Computer Skills: RLDatix Credentialing Software, Strong working knowledge of databases, Electronic Medical Record, and Microsoft Office suite (MS Word, MS Excel, etc.)

Expenses covered while on assignment include housing, airfare and rental car.
