Job Description

We are looking for an accountant with 5 years minimum experience. A CPA license is not required, however applicant’s experience in a variety of accounting responsibilities is needed.

Full-Time (Part-Time is a possibility with minimum of 25 hours weekly)

$25 per hour + depending on experience and education

Responsibilities:

Reconcile bank statements and bookkeeping accounts.
Manage income and expense accounts, balance sheets, etc.
Filing documents for permits, business licenses, F&E, etc.
Providing CPA with financial statements and documents for tax purposes
Proper coding of jobs, vendors, and all accounts payable is a must

Qualifications:

5 years of previous experience in accounting (knowledge of construction is a plus)
Fundamental knowledge of GAAP
Detail and deadline-oriented
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
A bachelor’s in Accounting is not required by is a plus

Our company is a second-generation contractor/developer who generally develops office and retail properties which are then leased to various businesses. We are a growing company with in-house accounting needs. The applicant will not be the only employee working in the accounting department but will have a full cross-section of accounting responsibilities over the projects the applicant will be responsible for.

Our company is a second generation contractor/ developer who generally builds office buildings which are then leased to commercial businesses. So we maintain ownership of the office buildings while collecting rent. Currently, we have over 32 leased properties spread over the state of Tennessee and are in the process of building three more. These office buildings are regularly updated and renovated, therefore work is always being done.
