Job Description

Research Assistant (Lab Tech)

Duties:

Assist in all aspects of a wheat genetics program including plant care, tissue sampling, DNA isolation, PCR, genotyping and data analysis.
Experience in techniques needed for molecular marker analysis: tissue sampling, DNA isolation, PCR and various genotyping platforms such as KASP (Kompetitive Allele-specific PCR).
Computer competency using Microsoft Office software.

Education:

Possess or working toward a BS degree in biological or plant sciences.
