Position Overview: The Accounting/HR Assistant position supports both the accounting and human resources (HR) functions at MLee Healthcare, you will play a crucial role in accounting, payroll and human resources functions. This person will also be working directly with the Controller to ensure all tasks are performed in a timely manner and within the parameters of the procedures set in place.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting Function:
- Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
- Update accounts receivable and issue invoices
- Update accounts payable and perform reconciliations
- Update financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed
- Assist with daily deposits
- Processing vendor inquiries and maintaining vendor files
- Maintain weekly and monthly bank reconciliations
- Process and issue payment for distribution payments
- Assist in administrative duties for the corporate
HR Functions:
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of weekly and bi-weekly payroll
- Assist in HR functions such as onboarding and offboarding of employees and contractors.
- Assist with benefits administration
- Creation of employee files and HRIS database input.
- Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation through E-Verify
- Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field, preferred
- Accounting: 2-3 years’ experience (required)
- Human Resources: 1 year of experience (required)
- QuickBooks: 2-3 years; of experience (required)
- ADP: 1-2 years of experience (preferred)
- Proficient in HRIS and payroll software.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel is required.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and reliability are required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Adherence to ethical conduct and integrity in all activities.
