Location: Creve Coeur, MO (Hybrid schedule)

Pay Rate: $27/hour

Shift: Monday – Friday, during normal business hours

 

Overview

We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Logistic Analyst to manage the intricate day-to-day interactions and coordination of importing and exporting seed and non-seed items (chemical, specialized, research) into and out of the United States. This pivotal role is essential for driving our business forward by ensuring that our Import and Export Operations meet compliance, customs requirements, and are conducted in an accurate and efficient manner, thus meeting the demands of our customers and production.

 

Responsibilities

- Perform Import/Export activities in compliance with government rules and regulations, organizational policies, procedures, goals, and objectives with minimal supervision.

- Expedite the import/export process by liaising with regional Import/Export coordinators, Warehousing/Distribution, and Plant & Production planning.

- Coordinate logistics for import/export shipments (ocean, air, land, rail) working closely with freight forwarders, brokers, Transportation Contract managers, and internal stakeholders.

- Ensure all work is completed in a timely and compliant manner, adhering to all internal policies and government regulations.

- Audit team members' files to ensure they are maintained in audit-ready status and participate in internal or external audits (USCBP/EPA) as required.

- Develop, maintain, and train team members and stakeholders on Standard Operating Procedures associated with assigned portfolio.

- Collaborate across divisions and internationally to identify and implement best practices and maintain a culture of continuous improvement.

- Act as the key contact for foreign partners/customers and handle complex global trade accounts/trade lanes.

- Conduct import/export operations process training as required.

- Remain current on all applicable import/export regulations through formal training and self-guided initiatives.

 

Required Education and Experience

- BA/BS Degree required.

- 3 years of experience in Business, Supply Chain, International Commerce, or a related field preferred.

- Strong working knowledge and experience with data systems (e.g., MS Office Suite, ACE, SAP, GTS, Amber Road, OneSource) preferred.

- Must have the flexibility to work outside of normal hours when necessary.

- Strong project/deadline management and excellent analytical skills preferred.

- Knowledgeable in Import/Export, Trade & Compliance, Shipping/Logistics preferred.

- Experience with agricultural and/or chemical products preferred.

 

Required Skills

- Ability to read and write in English with strong verbal and written communication skills.

- Good understanding of product portfolio and production processes.

- Working knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and standards related to APHIS, Customs and Border Protection, USDA, and other government agency laws and regulations.

- Experience in auditing and compliance, with the ability to maintain documentation in audit-ready status.

- Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
