Pharmacist In Charge (PIC)

Encino Center Pharmacy is looking for a Pharmacist In Charge (PIC) to join our new independent retail pharmacy! You will be responsible for the daily duties of the pharmacy such as dispensing drugs prescribed by physicians and other health practitioners. We're looking for a committed individual ready to be part of a dedicated and caring team.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain records of daily inventory and other items.
• Ensure pharmacy staff are completing their duties in an efficient and timely manner.
• Ensure that all prescription orders are filled in compliance with state and federal laws.
• Analyze market trends, customer demographics, and pharmacy expenses to make recommendations for improvement.
• Manage a team of pharmacy technicians and assistants including dispensing staff.
• Order medications from wholesalers, including both controls and non-controls.
• Stay up to date on all compliance requirements. 
• Dispense prescribed medications.
• Advise physicians and health practitioners on the interactions and side effects of medications.
• Provide patients with pertinent drug information.
• Proactively review prescriptions for proper dosage.
• Supervise and maintain records of all medications.

​Qualifications:

• Valid license as a Registered Pharmacist issued by the State of California
• Previous experience in pharmacy or other medical fields
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong organizational skills
