Pipeline Safety & Risk Engineer

• This role provides guidance and recommendations to ensure compliance with federal pipeline safety regulations and the safe operation of the pipeline. Acting as a company representative, this position handles inspections, resolves enforcement actions, and facilitates communication with regulatory agencies.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Coordinates integrity management program activities, including identification of high consequence areas, threat assessment, risk assessment, and performance measurement.
• Stays updated on scientific, technical, and regulatory developments, providing technical input and assisting in program development and maintenance.
• Acts as a liaison between operations and regulatory agencies, participating in inspections and conducting internal audits.
• Provides technical expertise on pipeline safety regulations, approves procedures, and conducts analysis to determine maximum operating pressures.
• Conducts studies to assess class location and high consequence areas, and provides relevant training on pipeline safety compliance.
• Contributes to the development and revision of programs, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance and safe operation.
• Evaluates and proposes new technologies to enhance pipeline integrity, staying current with industry developments.

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• Knowledge of engineering principles and practices, particularly in pipeline, compression, and LNG theory.
• Ability to prepare clear, concise reports and effectively communicate findings.
• Broad understanding of company functions and effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and other relevant software.
• Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
