HUMAN RESOURCE GENERALIST & MANAGER


Company Description

Pepsi MidAmerica is a family-owned company with a rich tradition of investing in community good will. Our family of over 900 members spans Illinois, Missouri, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Arkansas. We are currently looking to expand our team so that we can continue to build the relationships that have defined our company for over 80 years.

Qualified applicants will have:

  • 2+ years of HR and/or Management experience (preferred.)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Industrial Technology, Communications, Human Resources, or related field (4+ years of Sales and/or Management experience may be considered in lieu of degree.)
  • Capability of multitasking & working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office, online research, and typing/editing reports.
  • Willingness to submit to a background screen and drug screen.


General Functions:

To process all employment applications through interviews, follow-ups,

screening, to aid in the selection of qualified personnel and to prepare and maintain records, files and tracking of Personnel and Public relationship matters.


Reporting Relationships:

Reports to: Regional HR Manager

Supervises: None


Primary Responsibilities:

1. To interview all applications, including the following:

- Initial interviews

- Telephone or written employment checks with applicant’s previous employers.

- Verification of data on applications.

- Rescheduling of applicants for second interviews.

- Recruiting of personnel at universities and colleges.

- Working with employment agencies-governmental and/or private.

2. Tracking of personnel turnover in relation to:

- Quantity per month, year, branch, job classification etc.

- Reasons for turnover.

- Ascertaining trouble spots with heavy turnover.

- Recruiting of personnel for replacement of turnover.


Additional Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Maintain the company billboard up to date and proper usage of phrases and social events.
  • Prepare information and data concerning turnover, applications received, etc. for sales meetings, reviews, and evaluations.
  • Assist in conducting of training and training management, research of subject material, coordination of employees’ participation, recruiting speakers, etc.
  • Assist the Training Manager in their duties in relation to scheduling of classes, conducting classes, research of subject material, coordination of employees’ participation, recruiting speakers, etc.
  • Assist the Regional HR Manager and/or Director of Human Resources in any manner he/she deems necessary to promote the personnel portion of the well-being of the company.


Working Relationships:

Daily with Director of Human Resources

Daily with applicants

With all company personnel from division through production, depot, and route levels.
