Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Control Supervisor to oversee the accuracy and efficiency of our inventory management processes. The Inventory Control Supervisor will be responsible for maintaining optimal inventory levels, implementing inventory control procedures, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
- Oversee the accurate tracking and recording of inventory levels, including receiving, storing, and issuing materials.
- Implement inventory control procedures to minimize shrinkage, overages, and stockouts.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to reconcile physical inventory with system records.
Process Improvement:
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize inventory accuracy and efficiency.
- Identify areas for process improvement and recommend solutions to enhance inventory management practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as procurement, logistics, and operations, to streamline inventory processes.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas of improvement.
- Generate reports on inventory levels, turnover rates, and stock movement.
- Utilize data-driven insights to make informed decisions and optimize inventory control strategies.
Supervision and Training:
- Supervise inventory control staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.
- Assign tasks and responsibilities to inventory control personnel and provide ongoing support and guidance.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to ensure team effectiveness and productivity.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in inventory control or supply chain management, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and identify trends.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of inventory control best practices and industry standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field (preferred).
