About the Role:

The role of Engineering/Permitting Administrator is responsible for managing administrative tasks, supporting project coordination, and facilitating communication between internal teams and external partners. This individual will be responsible for providing administrative support to the engineering department, ensuring smooth operations and effective communication within the team. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, review, and process access requests from internal and external stakeholders, including joint use requests and pole attachment submissions.
  • Verify the completeness and accuracy of submitted documentation and information.
  • Coordinate with relevant departments to assess the feasibility and impact of proposed access activities.
  • Ensure that all access requests comply with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies.
  • Stay updated on relevant regulations and standards governing infrastructure access rights.
  • Collaborate with legal and regulatory teams to address any compliance issues or concerns.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders submitting access requests.
  • Communicate effectively with internal departments, external agencies, and third-party vendors involved in the access approval process.
  • Coordinate meetings, site visits, and other activities related to access rights management.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of access permissions, including approved requests, permits, and agreements.
  • Develop and maintain a centralized database or system for tracking access requests, approvals, and related documentation.
  • Generate reports and documentation as needed for internal audits, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder communication.
  • Provide assistance and support to stakeholders regarding the access request process, requirements, and status updates.
  • Address inquiries, concerns, and disputes related to access rights in a timely and professional manner.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and customer service enhancement.
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, telecommunications, engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in administrative roles, preferably in a telecommunications or utilities environment.
  • Experience working with SPANS program and/or similar platform.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to infrastructure access rights (e.g., joint use agreements, pole attachment regulations).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in using computer software and database systems for document management and record-keeping.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
