Journeyman Plumber

We are seeking a Journeyman Service Plumber to join our team. We are proud to have been voted Best Of Yolo County by readers of the Woodland Daily Democrat and the Davis Enterprise news papers every year for the past 11 years, and we're looking to bring on another superstar. If you have what it takes, and you take pride in your work, then we want to hear from you!

Candidates must be mechanically inclined, able to lift 50 + lbs, ok with heights and tight spaces. Clean DMV with 3 years driving exp., Good writing and communication skills, be honest, dependable, responsible, career oriented, self motivated, have an exceptional work ethic, and be capable of working on their own.

Prospective employees must be willing to work regular overtime, as the position requires staying each day until all scheduled appointments are completed.

The schedule is typically Monday-Friday (Weekend work is extremely rare and not mandatory)

Daily shift starts at 9:00am, and ends when the last scheduled job is completed. (Though we typically try finish the day between 5:30 -6pm, this “IS NOT” guaranteed.)

SERVICE TECHNICIANS MUST STAY UNTIL ALL OF THEIR JOBS FOR DAY ARE COMPLETE!

(It is critical that any applicants understand this requirement, as it can be inconvenient at times.)

- On average (typically once or twice a week) we will work until 6-8pm.

- Occasionally (typically once every month or two) we will work 16 or more hours.

Unfortunately, due to the nature of this business, we cannot offer a set time for the shift to end, however, we do try to schedule jobs in such a way that we only work 8 hour days, but, this is impossible to guarantee. With that said, each employee must know that the work day isn’t complete until the jobs are. The average work week is 42-48 hours.

Your workday will begin at 9am, and it will end when you leave the shop at night. With the exception of a 30 minute lunch break, employees get paid for every hour (whether on a job, in route to a job, gathering parts in the shop, actually on a job, etc.) once you clock in, you are being paid. We are fair to our employees , and we expect them to be fair with us as well.

Starting Pay:

Journey Level Service Plumber: $28-$33 + p/hr DOE.

Overtime is very common and pay is calculated daily as follows:

• Hours 1-8 is Straight Time
• Hours 8-12 is one and a half times standard rate.
• Any time after 12 hours is double time.

(We are a non-commission based plumbing company)

Pay is hourly: And dependent upon your level of experience and skill.

Experience:

• Journey Level Service Plumber: Min. 3 Years in Service Plumbing

License/Certification:

• Driver's License with relatively clean driving record (Required)

Work Location: Multiple Locations within Yolo County, such as Woodland, Davis, Winters, Esparto, Knights Landing, Capay, Dunnigan, Etc. (Excludes West Sacramento)
