Tampa based Geospatial Aerial Survey and Mapping Company is looking for and experienced individual to fill the position of Director for Marketing, Business Development, and sales.

JOB DESCRIPTION: DAS is searching for a talented professional individual to fill the role of “Director of Geospatial Business Development” working in a collaborative TEAM environment to service existing client accounts and expand our NEW BUSINESS Initiatives.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITES:

Principal Position Responsibilities: (Typical duties include the following, although specific duties vary by assignment or contract)

1. Proposal Development:

a. TEAM Lead for the development of high-quality WINNING” proposals in response RFI’s, RFP’s and unsolicited proposals,

b. Collaborate with department experts and key stakeholders to gather relevant information and insights for proposal content,

2. Team Coordination:

a. Organize and lead proposal kick-off meetings, assigning tasks to team members and establishing clear timelines.

b. Manage work assignments for Proposal Coordinators and stakeholders

c. Foster collaboration among cross-functional teams involved in the proposal process.

3. Compliance and Quality Assurance:

a. Ensure proposals adhere to all client requirements, guidelines, and industry standards.

b. Conduct thorough reviews of proposals to maintain a high-level of quality and accuracy.

4. Proposal Strategy:

a. Develop and implement strategic approaches based on Proposal Class, focusing on key messaging, differentiation, and value propositions.

b. Analyze competitor proposals to identify strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement.

5. Relationship Building:

a. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather necessary information and insights for proposal development.

b. Maintain positive relationships with clients, partners, subcontractors and team members throughout the proposal process.

c. Communicate proposal-related requirements and status with senior management, and remain current on all amendments and modifications to the solicitation.

d. Travel as needed to meet business needs and proposal deadlines.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

May supervise 1-3 employees.

QUALIFICATIONS:

a. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

b. EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree (B.S. / B.A.) Marketing, Engineering, Business Administration or related field. Equivalent experience may be substituted for the education requirement.

c. EXPERIENCE: Proven Self-Starter with the ability to multi-task and lead team proposal efforts.

d. Required 3-years general experience with contracts, proposals, or program management initiatives.

e. Preferred 3-years’ experience leading multi-year government proposal development efforts.

f. Proficient experience with software packages including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe products, and the ability to implement and manage systems and programs to meet business proposal needs.
