Manager Utilization Review - Registered Nurse / RN

Daily Responsibilities of RN / Registered Nurse Utilzation Review Manager:
- Responsible for the oversight of concurrent and retrospective review for medical necessity, appropriateness of service and level of care
- Responsible for the day to day oversight of authorizations for outpatient services or ancillary services in preparation for the Member’s discharge or transition to lower level or higher level of care
- Responsible for ensuring that the concurrent or retrospective review process includes referring Members to Health Management, Health Education, Care Management, or other internal or external programs as needed
Requirements of the Registered Nurse / RN Utilization Review Manager:
- Bachelor’s in Nursing
- Must have an unencumbered California RN license
- 5+ years’ experience in concurrent review and utilization management from a managed care environment
- 1+ year(s) experience in a supervisory or management level role
Hours for this Position of the Registered Nurse / RN Utilization Review Manager: Monday – Friday, 8: 00 AM – 5:00 PM | Weekend on-call once a month
