Nurse Manager, Outpatient Surgical Services

HCT seeks an experienced professional to serve as the Interim Outpatient OR Nurse Manager at a 289 bed facility in Northern California.

Responsibilities include:

• Managing, coordinating and monitoring the entire perioperative patient care delivery system for the Orthopaedic Institute, Surgical Services
  
• Oversight over the operating room, pre-op, post-op (PACU), Anesthesia, Prepare and Environmental Services
• Developing performance improvement goals and facilitating staff, surgeons, and anesthesia personnel toward achieving goals.
• Fostering teamwork, establishing common goals and achieving successful goal-oriented outcomes; efficient and user-friendly scheduling practices; educational needs; recognition; patient safety, including National Patient Safety Goals, JCAHO and infection control standards; operational efficiencies; effective communication, and staff, physician and patient satisfaction.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's degree (BSN); Master's Degree preferred
• Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of of progressive clinical leadership/management experience; Recent clinical OR, ASC experience; Able to prioritize effectively according to departmental needs and ability to organize a large number of changing variables; Practice management knowledge in scheduling, customer-service methods, regulatory compliance, accreditation requirements; Strong leadership, fiscal, and operations management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with physicians, management, and staff from all disciplines. Ability to create and maintain a goal-oriented climate of teamwork, collaboration
• License: State of California RN license
• Certifications: BLS required; ACLS preferred
• Computer Skills: EPIC EMR experience and Microsoft Office suite (e.g., MS Word, MS PowerPoint, etc.) experience

All expenses are covered while on assignment including housing, airfare, transportation and trips home during the assignment.
