Our Engineering team is seeking an experienced Analog/Mixed-signal IC Design Engineer to design complex mixed-signal circuits and analog blocks like ADC,DAC, PLL, OpAmp , LDO for novel SOC (system on chip) designs. We are seeking motivated Mixed Signal Hardware Design Engineer to lead development of our next-generation photonics solutions.

This full-time, exempt position will report to the Director, R&D and will be located at our Salem, NH facility.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Detailed electrical analysis and design for mixed-signal electronics
  • Schematic capture, simulation, and PCB layout/oversight
  • Analog and digital hardware design, development, and testing
  • System architecture design
  • Develops innovative new designs for patenting or protecting as trade secret
  • Functional verification
  • Reports on design results through design reviews, in accordance with company quality requirements and resolves action items generated as a result of these reviews
  • Attends design reviews to provide input and learn from other designers' experiences
  • Performance characterization
  • Collaboration with software, RF, and other hardware engineers
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
  • Motivated self-starter with good interpersonal skills
  • Outstanding technical capability
  • Above average technical presentation skills
  • Demonstrated team experience (preferably multi-disciplinary)
EDUCATION, REQUIREMENTS, AND EXPERIENCE:
  • MSEE or BSEE and significant project experience
  • 3+ years overall experience in mixed-signal electronic design
  • Experience with miniature electronic packaging and design using bare die or chip-scale packages.
  • Knowledge of complex AD/DC analysis (poles, zeros, compensation)
  • Advanced signal analysis knowledge
  • Basic understanding of PD parasitic junctions
  • Strong parasitic analysis knowledge (capacitance, resistance, power grid)
  • Advanced knowledge of circuit building blocks (e.g., OPAMP, gm-C filters, switch capacitors, ADC, DAC, state-machines, and bus interfaces)
  • Ability to understand and influence packaging design constraints and requirements for custom designs.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in low power embedded systems, sensor integration, imaging systems.
  • Understanding of microcontroller software (using C/C++/or assembly), and FPGA firmware (VHDL or Verilog).
  • Familiarity with signal and power integrity analysis tools

  • Able to lift up to 20lbs
  • Up to 20% travel may be required
