Diesel Mechanic

Competitive pay $24.00 - $26.00 an hour DOE
Temp to hire.
The position is in Pearland, Texas 77581
Monday-Friday 7:00 am-5:00 pm

Our client, one of the largest line pipe distributors in the United States is looking for a reliable Diesel Mechanic.

Your New Role:

As a Diesel Mechanic, repair and maintain of forklift, heavy equipment, and trucks in accordance with factory and industry standards, run diagnostics where applicable, and work closely with other team members to meet company goals.

What You Will Do:

Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers' specifications
Repair and replace damaged or worn parts
Operate and inspect machines or heavy equipment to diagnose defects
Diagnose faults or malfunctions to determine required repairs
Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using hoists and hand tools
Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment and vehicles

What You Need:

High School Diploma or GED
1 – 3 years of pipe yard and forklift experience
Knowledge of Diesel Engine and Hydraulic Systems diagnostics and preventive maintenance
Must be willing to work overtime as needed
Regularly lift and/or move objects up to 50 lbs
Must be able to pass pre-employment screenings
