Job Description

We are looking for a finance, accounting and administration “athlete” with a solid track record demonstrating excellence, performance, growth, initiative, integrity, ambition and a “can do” attitude for two of our companies.

This is a role for a highly accomplished leader with a finance, accounting and business administration background and an entrepreneurial spirit with past experience in B2B, e-commerce, startups, marketplaces, supply chain, technology and/or distribution of capital goods in the commodities, supply chain or hard goods space.

The position is hands-on and has full responsibility for the finances, accounting, business operations, compliance and administration of two of our businesses in accordance with the highest standards of excellence and professionalism.

 

Responsibilities include:

Accounting and Bookkeeping - All accounting and record keeping functions including G/L entries, chart of accounts, capital calls, cap tables, A/R, A/P, bank accounts, credit cards, cash-flow projections, funds management, payroll, expenses, depreciation, cost and expense control, amortization, financial reporting and ensuring the entities are current, organized, operating efficiently and in prime financial health.

Financing – All banking, fundraising, venture capital, business presentations and related activities.

Human Resources – Planning, deployment and execution of all HR and talent related matters.

Performance and Asset Administration – Administration, management, oversight, analysis and upkeep of business and financial interests. Responsibilities include tracking, evaluating, processing and handling of all processes, assets including pitch deck analysis, K-1’s, ROI analysis, capital calls, distributions, investor calls and cap tables – all while keeping pulse of our interests while monitoring relevant external factors and events.

Compliance - Ensuring that the entities and assets under management are in compliance with local, state and federal requirements and in adherence with best practices - including tax planning, insurance policies, legal contracts and property management.

Technology – Planning, coordination, configuration, safety, security, protection and upkeep of technology assets including laptops, network, internet, computers, data, subscriptions, productivity apps (Microsoft 365 Suite or similar), phone and ERP systems, databases and information management. Responsibilities include ensuring the operation is current and benefiting from latest available technology, trends and best practices.

Business Operations – Operational responsibility including office facilities, equipment, communication platforms, systems, subscriptions and other activities including legal matters which are necessary to conduct business and maintain operations.

Advisory – Providing sound and well-informed advice to our CEO on matters related to the finances, performance, preservation, administration and management of interests.

Requirements:

You must share our passion for excellence and consistently use your complex problem-solving skills, initiative and sound judgment to navigate daily responsibilities and accomplish strategic goals all while upholding the highest standards of excellence, integrity, professionalism and in adherence with industry best practices.

Additional Requirements:
• College Degree from a competitive university with a degree in Accounting, Business Administration or similar – MBA and/or CPA preferred

• You exemplify our standards for professionalism, accountability, teamwork, integrity, initiative, proactiveness, preparedness, competence, big accomplishments, excellence, growth, responsibility, ambition and commitment

• Expertise as a CFO, Controller or Accountant in a highly efficient and fast growth environment

• Experience as a “super user” setting up, operating and managing ERP systems (SAP Business One, Dynamics GP, Netsuite or similar)

• General understanding of business legal terms and business legal documents

• Tech savvy with strong knowledge of data management, ERP systems, productivity tools and best practices including current and upcoming business productivity and accounting software including “super user” status in platforms like Zoho Suite, slack, Microsoft 365, Google Suite or similar

• Expert level in MS Excel

• Fundraising cycle from Business Plan preparation to successful financing and fundraising rounds

• Excellent communication skills

• A track record of consistently setting and accomplishing big goals at a personal and team level

• Sound judgment, strong analytical and problem-solving skills
