Job Description
Salary: $60,000-68,000 per year

Premier Pump & Power is a family-owned manufacturer of industrial pumps and energy solutions. We
specialize in large, custom, portable pump packages, and our products are renowned for their
performance, serviceability and built-in quality. We proudly serve thousands of customers from our
global headquarters in Vancouver, Washington and our new manufacturing factory in Houston, Texas.


We are seeking an experienced Accountant I, with proficiency in QuickBooks to join our team who will
manage all financial transactions from fixed payments and variable expenses to bank deposits and
budgets and other related financial activities.


You will report directly to the Controller.


Accountant I Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and post all journal entries, commissions, tax distributions, and accruals.
  • Maintain and analyze capital, leases, and fixed asset records, depreciation, and amortization.
  • Manage the balance sheets and income statements for accuracy and timeliness.
  • Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and expense reports weekly/monthly.
  • Prepare wires and ACH’s as needed.
  • Prepare monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations.
  • Reconcile subledgers to the GL prior to closing period.
  • Assist AP with matching issues and review for 3-way match accuracy.
  • Complete month-end, quarter-end, and annual closing within scheduled deadlines.
  • Analyze, summarize, and report financial status to management weekly and monthly as needed.
  • Analyze trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict
  • future revenues and expenses.
  • Keep a pulse on the company’s finances based on financial status.
  • Prepare, compute, file, and pay sales and excise tax.
  • Prepare and manage AR Invoices, bill of ladings, and collection efforts.
  • Maintain accounting controls per company policy and accounting principles and practices.
  • Manage and audit all accounting transactions and documents for accuracy and timeliness.
  • Performs other related duties and responsibilities as required.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or relevant degree
  • 3 years’ experience as an Accountant with GL and month-end close experience
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
  • GL experience
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Working knowledge of office devices and processes
