Job Description

An industry leading provider of automotive equipment (audio, navigation, video, infotainment systems, etc.) is seeking an Executive Assistant to work at their Novi, MI office Provide administrative and secretarial support to the President, while also supporting/coordinating a variety of programs for the General Administration/Planning Departments

  • Direct-Hire with Great Benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, AD&D, Short-Term / Long-Term Disability, 401k, Sick Leave, Paid Holiday, Paid Time Off, and etc.)
  • $55K - $75K / year (Exempt)
  • Business-level Japanese language ability is a MUST


Requirements of the Japanese Bilingual Executive Assistant:

  • Associates Degree is required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Bilingual Language ability in Japanese & English
  • 3+ years experience as an Executive Assistant
  • International experience or exposure interacting with different overseas cultures/languages is a plus
  • Must have good analytical skills
  • Advanced administrative handling / coordinating projects using various computer software including Microsoft Word/Excel
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with all levels of the organization, including senior executives


Responsibilities of the Japanese Bilingual Executive Assistant:

  • Handle various administrative duties on behalf of the President, including: responding to telephone or email inquiries, development and distribution of meeting minutes, maintaining confidential files, coordinating Corporate level meetings of the Company Officers and MIO management, as well as making travel arrangements
  • Attend meetings as required; takes, transcribes and distributes meeting notes; ensures follow up on action items
  • Gather information and prepares various monthly reports related to sales, operating results / forecasts, and other key business performance indicators.
  • Participate in preparing documents / presentations for the mid-term business plan, annual Hoshin strategies and periodic reports to the Company Board of Directors
  • Read and rewrite material in specified language or languages, following established rules pertaining to factors, such as word meanings, sentence structure, grammar, punctuation, and mechanics
  • Type and design general correspondences, memos, charts, tables, graphs, business plans, etc.
  • Proofread copies for spelling, grammar, and layout, making appropriate changes. Responsible for accuracy and clarity of final copy
  • Serve as a liaison between senior level management, customers, and the President, both in the United States and abroad
  • Assists other internal groups including planning / coordinating technical exhibitions
  • Other related duties may be assigned


Employment Type: Direct-Hire

Location: Novi, MI

Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
