Maintenance Technician

Position: Maintenance Technician

Pay: $20/hour - $25/hour Based on experience

Shift: 1st

Location: Sheridan, MI

Key Responsibilities:

• Actively work to reduce maintenance repair and preventive maintenance costs.
• Assist in developing plans to reduce breakdown related downtime.
• Maintain a safe work environment and report any unsafe conditions.
• Keep all work areas clean and free of oil.
• Minimize the amount of downtime associated with repairs.
• Additional education as required to help reduce external maintenance repair cost.
• Properly complete and file all required maintenance document.
• Effectively communicate with other departments and shifts.
• Complete assigned preventative maintenance activities in a timely manner.
• Participates in continuous improvement process as required.
• Participates in 8D problem solving as required.
• Performs all other assigned duties.

Qualifications:

• 1-3 years plastic industry maintenance experience including hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to supply own tools.
• Ability to obtain valid hi-lo license.
• Knowledge of state and federal environmental and OSHA laws preferred.
• Must be able to demonstrate competency through testing and job performance after training.
