JOB TITLE: Sales Associate
DEPARTMENT: Business Development
REPORTING TO: VP of Sales
PRIMARY FUNCTION OF POSITION:
Identify and initiate contact with potential customers that fit into our overall sales strategy that will drive acceptable profitable revenue growth (Design, prototype, production) for all divisions. The potential customers must demonstrate a need for the capabilities, registrations and certifications Libra maintains.
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
- Initiate communication with the appropriate contact to qualify a prospects need for our services.
- Provide a weekly/monthly activity tracker that will include a comprehensive list of action items:
- Number of phones calls made by industry, location.
- Number of actual customer conversations. (50 per week)
- Number of follow-up phone calls (a second/third/etc. conversation).
- Number of physical appointments secured for the outside sales person. (2 per week)
- Number of Corporate overview presentations made. (15 per quarter)Number of facility tours secured. (15 per quarter)
- Number of first time customer engagements. (5 per quarter)
- Participate in the weekly sales meeting to review opportunities along with general sales activity discussions.
- Work closely with the outside sales team to coordinate initial activities in early customer development.
- Prepare and complete reports and document activity into Contact Management software as assigned by Management.
- Prepare Monthly Sales Activity report to be submitted to VP Sales in a timely manner. Template to be supplied by Management.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- High School Diploma.
- Knowledge of contact management and sales process software systems.
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills.
- Position will be based in the Mentor manufacturing facility.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with internal and external partners.
- A good listener with outstanding oral and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills and a disciplined approach.
- Strong computer skills - proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word).
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or a Technical discipline is required.
- Experience in the electronics contract manufacturing industry (EMS) preferred.
- Proven track record of a minimum of (5) years in sales.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- This positon will work in both front and shop environments.
- In the shop, you will be exposed to airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, machines, and material handling vehicles. PPE is required in this shop area.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- While performing duties of this job, the employee is required to have good hearing and sight.
- You will need to be able to walk the shop floor and be able to lift up to 20 pounds.
