Overview:

The E-Learning Developer and LMS Administrator will join a team of 100+ purpose-driven staff in a friendly, focused, fast-paced entrepreneurial environment. The National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS) is the largest leadership honor society in the United States, with over 700 chapters and more than 1.5 million members.

The E-Learning Developer and LMS Administrator will be working with the Education team to design, support, and maintain strategic initiatives like new program development, program evaluation, course maintenance, process documentation, and more.

The E-Learning Developer and LMS Administrator will be pivotal in enhancing our educational offerings by curating engaging learning experiences, overseeing the administration of our homegrown Learning Management System (LMS), and leading the development and design of course content. This role reports to the Vice President of Education and Learning Experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, research, design, and develop outcome based educational programs that address the needs of adult learners from different backgrounds.
  • Design highly effective branded educational materials and instructional deliverables for an online audience, while managing projects efficiently.
  • Partner with stakeholders across the organization to analyze needs, recommend the right delivery option(s) for educational content, design engaging learning solutions, and support the implementation and delivery of educational programs.
  • Work independently, with SMEs, and/or with guidance from peers and leadership to research, design, develop, and support educational programs as assigned (eLearning deliverables, in-classroom courses, virtual training, and learning support materials, etc.)
  • Create, design, and edit clear and effective audience-appropriate educational materials using tools like Articulate, Canva, and proprietary authoring tools.
  • Perform quality assurance and accessibility checks on learning materials, courses, and programs that have been developed.
  • Stay informed of new and developing trends in adult learning and apply findings to learning design initiatives.
  • Implement user experience design principles, adult learning theories, accessibility standards, and mobile-friendly design elements to learning materials.
  • Manage daily operations of the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring a seamless user experience for learners and instructors.
  • Manage all end-user reporting within the LMS.
  • Assist in the migration of courses from the Moodle environment to the Ignite platform, overseeing the technical aspects to ensure a smooth transition.
  • Curate engaging learning experiences, including book studies and speaker broadcasts, that complement and enrich our curriculum.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to identify learning needs and opportunities for curriculum enhancement.
  • Lead the development of new curriculum content, ensuring it meets educational standards and aligns with learning objectives.
  • Utilize adult learning principles and innovative instructional design strategies to create interactive and impactful learning experiences.
  • Redesign existing course content for improved learner engagement and knowledge retention.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in education, Instructional Design, or related field.
  • Strong background in instructional design and curriculum development.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems and system administration (i.e. Moodle,)
  • Skilled in using digital authoring and design tools such as Articulate Storyline, Rise 360, Adobe Captivate, InDesign, Camtasia, Prezi, Adobe Premiere, Canva, and Clickup etc.
  • Experience designing for a variety of modern learning modalities and channels including simulations, case studies, experiential learning, adaptive learning pathways, microlearning, videos, infographics, mobile learning, gamification, interactives, and more.
  • Proficient in Google Suite tools and remote messaging platforms (i.e. Slack)
