Civil Utility Design Engineer

We are seeking a vibrant and skilled professional to join our client’s team as a full-time Civil Utility Design Engineer. Whether you are eager to kickstart your career or a seasoned Engineer with specialized expertise in utility design, this employer invites passionate individuals ready to make a meaningful impact.

Responsibilities:

Produce civil engineering designs for various sectors including energy and utilities, higher education, medical, science and technology, commercial, hospitality, and public facilities.
Collaborate with fellow civil engineers, site design professionals, and permitting specialists.
Prepare civil engineering designs encompassing project planning, utility system layout and analysis, site grading, erosion control plans, and related features.
Manage client relationships and projects, from scoping to contracting and beyond.
Develop construction plans, specifications, and bidding documents.
Demonstrate a basic understanding of wastewater and sewer system engineering design.
Exhibit familiarity with water supply and main system engineering design.

The ideal candidate will excel in technical aspects and demonstrate skill in selling the services.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering or related field.
Professional Engineer (PE) certification preferred.
Willingness to travel overnight for meetings, client consultations, on-site inspections, etc.
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, ArcGIS, and Microsoft Office applications.
Experience as a Design Engineer or Project Manager for municipal infrastructure projects.
Previous involvement in project proposal preparation and client service management.
Ability to travel between multiple locations in the Southeastern Wisconsin area.
