Warehouse Worker

Job Summary:To assist the Warehouse Management and Warehouse Driver with miscellaneous duties and all delivery areas.Essential Functions:Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the warehouse and ensuring that all vehicles are cleaned after each delivery.Picks customer orders for shipping.Prepares pallets for shipping by consolidating merchandise.Responsible for placing merchandise at customer's requests where/when reasonable.Assists in the rotation of merchandise in the customer’s establishment.Provides excellent customer service to customers. This includes honesty, politeness, courtesy, and helpfulness.Assists warehouse driver in making deliveries; including delivering products, checking items and quantities are correct, adjusting invoices on returned products, collecting payments and/or signatures on invoices, and ensuring all items being returned are brought back to the warehouse.Helps warehouse drivers with blind spots when driving or parking vehicles. Helps with the cleanliness of trucks. Loads and unloads trailers when assigned. Assists in assigned facilities maintenance duties as needed.Manages time efficiently and is a team player.Required Education and Experience: At least one year of previous experience in warehouse environments.Working knowledge of warehouse processes.Prior warehouse experience, preferably in a food distribution environment.Valid VI driver’s license preferred.Physical Requirements: Physical demands include sitting, bending, listening, reaching, seeing, standing, walking and lifting. These skills need to be performed daily.Equipment used in the job includes a truck, hand truck, and forklift.Very heavy lifting of up to 100 pounds with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing 50 or more pounds.
