Warehouse Supervisor

The Warehouse Supervisor position entails overseeing laborers, vehicle operators, material movers, and helpers while achieving company expectations. Warehouse Supervisors will also instill those same qualities into the Warehouse Crew by providing proper training and adhering to company policies. In addition to these skills, we want our Warehouse Supervisors to be role models and trendsetters for our back-of-house work environment. Warehouse Supervisors may also be responsible for training workers, as well as keeping the storage facility secure and managing inventory. The Warehouse Supervisor will report to the General Manager to ensure goals are met daily. We here at Area 51 Fireworks provide much more than your average work environment. Responsibilities of the Warehouse Supervisor:

• Plan, organize, supervise, and participate in daily warehouse operation and activities, including the receipt, documentation, storage, safety, and distribution of equipment and supplies with standard maintenance of inventory.

• Train, supervise, and evaluate the performance of assigned warehouse employees; assign workloads to warehouse workers.

• Receive wholesale orders from the General Manager and ensure accuracy when pulling product.

• Maintain inventory of items in the warehouse.

• Monitor automated warehousing system; operate a computer to enter trucks, correct errors, and control key screens as required.

• Coordinate with the General Manager to receive needed materials and prepare the necessary paperwork for all duties that require it.

• Ensure proper handling of materials and store them appropriately.

• Investigate accidents and identify the root cause of damage with HRA.

• Operate and demonstrate the use of specialized warehouse equipment as necessary; assure proper, routine maintenance and servicing of warehouse vehicles and equipment.

• Use handheld tracking scanners to track and update inventory as required.

• Observe health and safety regulations; maintain a warehouse in a clean, safe, and orderly condition with HRA.

• Assist management in establishing warehouse standards and procedures; advice of budget-related needs if necessary.
