Warehouse Supervisor

Our client, a leading importer/distributer of food products to supermarkets, wholesalers, dollar stores, convenience stores across the United States is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to join their team at their flagship facility in Chesapeake, VA. Compensation: $70,000 - $75,000 DOE

Location: Chesapeake, VA

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00A – 4:30P

Warehouse Supervisor Responsibilities:

· Develop and apply process tools and techniques such as process maps, value stream maps, and simulation models to fully define, analyze, and design or improve processes.

· Generate internal reports and KPIs to support our operations. Focusing in Inventory Management, Throughput, cost Management and Reduction, Resource Utilization.

· Generate and Implement projects to improve the infrastructure and tools of the warehouse with the objective of creating a culture of performance and zero waste.

· Expert in the working features of existing WMS programs. Perform technical training tasks, such as reviewing and modifying procedures, troubleshooting, and resolving defects.

· Mentor new staff in job-specific tasks and processes.

· Optimize available resources through capacity planning to maximize productivity.

· Create and implement a training program to develop and increase the skills and capabilities of our team.

· Support our local teams in the implementation of Lean tools (Problem solving, Process mapping).

· Other duties that might be assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Warehouse Supervisor Education/Experience:

· 5+ years of experience Distribution and Logistics Operations. Warehouse Food Distribution a plus.

· Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field

· 3+ Years of implementing projects

· 1-2 Years Minimum of Management Experience

Warehouse Supervisor Technical Skills/Abilities:

· Clear, practical, hands-on orientation capable of identifying opportunities and quick wins.

· Strong organizational and project management skills.

· Highly Flexible with multi-tasking skills

· Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

· Ability to effectively manage demand and expectations.

· Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook

· Spoken and written fluency in English & Spanish *preferred* 

Salary and Benefits:

· Salary: $70K - $75k depending on experience
