Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for completing payments and controlling expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities:

Receive, process, verify, and reconcile invoices.
Validate three-way invoice matching process.
Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
Resolve purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation.
Ensure credit is received for outstanding memos.
Post expenses to account cost centers by analyzing invoices.
Pay vendors by monitoring discount opportunities.
Verify vendor federal ID numbers and banking information.
Prepare checks.
Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.
Maintain vendor files.
Protect organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
Update job knowledge by participating in cross-training opportunities.
