Financial Controller Summary of Qualifications:

Demonstrated success in leading accounting in high growth technology, software and/or SaaS/HaaS companies.

This position leads the accounting function for AssetWatch. This requires excellent teamwork and communication skills to align the accounting organization with executive management and key functions. Experience working with finance, treasury, business systems and other internal and external partners is a must along with strategic, highly quantitative, and collaborative skills.

1. Accounting Management:

· Champion a culture of continuous improvement and foster innovation in processes and technologies across the company.

· Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Manage all aspects of annual financial audit process.

· Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets.

· Develop, implement, and ensure compliance with revenue recognition policies in accordance with industry standards.

2. Financial and Operational Leadership:

· Provide strategic leadership for the accounting and finance teams, ensuring alignment with overall company goals.

· Oversee the development and execution of financial strategies to support the company's growth and profitability objectives.

· Collaborate with executive leadership to drive financial decision-making and provide insights for business planning.

· Manage asset and inventory control measures to improve accuracy and reduce carrying costs.

3. Treasury and Cash Management

· Develop and implement strategies for efficient balance sheet and cash flow management.

· Monitor and analyze payables and receivables, ensuring optimal utilization of funds.

4. Technology Leadership:

· Supervise the selection, implementation, and optimization of accounting software.

· Collaborate with Finance, Operations, Sales and other teams to ensure the seamless integration of accounting software with other business systems..

· Responsible for selection and systems that support the finance and accounting teams.

5. Tax Planning and Compliance:

· Manage all aspects of the company's tax planning and compliance efforts, ensuring adherence to local, state, and federal tax regulations.

· Identify opportunities for tax optimization and implement strategies to minimize the company's tax exposure.

6. Risk Management:

· Develop, implement and manage comprehensive risk management strategies to identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks.

· Develop and implement fraud detection and prevention measures.

· Conduct regular assessments of fraud risks and implement necessary controls.

7. Strategic Planning and Execution:

· Contribute to the development and execution of the company's overall strategic plan.

· Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including operations and sales teams, to develop and execute integrated financial and accounting plans to deliver efficient and scalable growth.

8. Communication and Collaboration:

· Establish and maintain effective communication channels with internal teams and external partners.

· Collaborate cross-functionally to address and resolve supply chain issues promptly.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA required.

· 10+ years of progressive experience in financial management, with a focus on technology, software, SaaS and/or HaaS companies.

· Experience in selecting, implementing and integrating accounting and business systems.

· Demonstrated M&A experience.

· Exceptional leadership and team management abilities.

· Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, across all levels of the organization.

· Outstanding organizational and management skills

We have a distributed team that works remotely across locations in the United States. We are open to candidates from most states but collaboration within core working hours is required.
