Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Equipment Maintenance Technician with a Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the proper maintenance, repair, and operation of our equipment fleet, including heavy machinery, vehicles, and tools.

Requirements:

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on a variety of equipment, including company vehicles, UTV’s, heavy equipment, and camera trailers.
  • Coordinate with the Equipment Manager to prioritize repairs and maintenance tasks based on equipment availability and project requirements.
  • Assist with equipment delivery and transportation as needed, utilizing the Class A CDL for driving heavy vehicles and transporting equipment to job sites.
  • Repairs, installation, maintenance, and transporting of various company equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, perform repairs, and replace faulty parts as needed.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance tasks to ensure equipment reliability and longevity.
  • Executes equipment modifications for process changes, new models, and expansions needs.
  • Looks into service requests for repairs and maintenance to determine the nature of problem and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Ensure that equipment is in a safe and working condition and utilize the Lock–Out–Tag–Out program.
  • Undertakes inventory of required parts, supplies, and issued equipment.
  • Performs limited carpentry and painting works when necessary.
  • Ensures the application of Quality Policies and Procedures in all aspects of daily duties and responsibilities.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including service logs, repair reports, and inventory records.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and equipment advancements to enhance job performance and efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in equipment maintenance and repair, preferably in a construction or similar industry.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of heavy equipment systems and components.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow maintenance schedules and procedures.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours, and travel to different job sites as needed.
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to safety regulations and procedures.
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.
  • Basic computer skills.
