Compensation:

36,000 – 46,000

Position FTE: 1.0 (Full-time), including evening and weekend work as necessary

Reports to: Director of Development Location: Wichita, KS

Travel: UP to 25%

Summary:

Trust Women is a non-profit organization that opens clinics that provide abortion care in underserved communities so that all women can make their own decisions about their health care. This is a full-time position (40-45 hours per week, with additional weekend and evening hours as needed). The Development Associate is primarily responsible for many of the administrative duties of the development department. This includes data entry, data hygiene work, print production, acknowledgments, and contacting supportive individuals and organizations. The Development Associate will help carry out fundraising initiatives and donor events/meetings to sustain and enhance Trust Women’s support base. This position reports to the Development Director of TW and works collaboratively and strategically with all TW staff. The ideal candidate will be motivated, professional, organized, and have a knack for research. We’re looking for someone who believes in the mission and has an exceptional drive for furthering our fundraising efforts as well as helping to strategize and deliver new ones. This position is critical for building the long-term infrastructure to keep abortion legal and to help relegalize it in banned states.

Responsibilities:

• Research prospects, individuals, corporations, and foundations that are interested in Trust Women.

• Prepares various reports using a constituency information database, including contact and giving.

Managing effective systems for tracking and cultivating contributors through the organizational database.

• Assist with the management and coordination of events and public outreach efforts.

• Prepare and assemble materials for donors, media, and various stakeholders.

• Provide direct support staffing to the Development Director for development related responsibilities.

• Preparing and tracking effective mailers to acquire new donors.

• Search for opportunities to develop relationships with potential donors.

• Organizing events while overseeing teams of volunteers.

• Drafting proposals and leaving volunteers to reach financial goals.

• Performing other development activities as assigned.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

• Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.

• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Ability to successfully balance priorities while managing multiple tasks and planning big events

• Strong customer service and communications skills.

• The ability to form strong working relationships with administrative and clinical staff.

• Computer literate and technologically proficient in standard word processing, spreadsheet, and database software applications.

• Excellent attention to detail and follow-through

• Eager to meet and exceed objectives and take on more responsibility.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree

• Pro-abortion,2SLGBTQIA+inclusive, body-positive, disability-inclusive.

• COVID-19 Vaccinated or willingness to obtain within four weeks of hire.

• Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends and evenings.

• Experience with EveryAction or other donor management platforms.
