Senior Interior Designer

Anyon is a full-service, high-end residential interior design studio known for creating exquisite homes and delivering excellent client service.  We are currently seeking a Senior Designer to join our collaborative team. The ideal candidate has at least five years of experience designing and managing projects with varying clientele and budgets. 

This is a full-time, hybrid remote/in-office position. The candidate will be expected to come into our design studio for client meetings, team meetings, and material reviews (20 to 25 hours per week on average). This candidate will also be expected to visit job sites, showrooms, and vendor workshops, as needed. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Act as the client’s main point of contact from project conception to post-installation.  Effectively plan and manage all aspects of  project workflow (managing and average of 4 to 5 projects simultaneously).  Other key areas of responsibility include the ongoing management of client relationships and expectations, development of project design plans, leadership of Associate/Junior Designers and Project Managers,  scheduling, facilitation and follow up of client meetings, adherence to project budget ranges, and compliance with billing and invoicing processes.
• Effectively manage time and design project workflow, averaging a minimum of 130 billable hours per month.
• Schedule and facilitate internal design project update meetings with the Principal, COO, and other key stakeholders.  Ensure follow up notes are recorded and actioned as appropriate.  

• Develop design schemes, floor plans/CAD drawings, and presentation boards in collaboration with client and Principal. 
• Lead client meetings in partnership with Principal, COO and Design Team partners.  Ensure that  agendas are prepared in advance, and meetings are facilitated effectively.
• Provide direction to the Procurement and Expediting Manager to effectively source and schedule deliveries of project purchases.

• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with construction and architectural teams.  Maintain a high level of connectivity with contractor and architect teams throughout the project, and take the lead role with problem resolution as needed.
• Act as a liaison with the accounting team to maintain project budgets and ensure that project bookkeeping is accurate and up-to-date.
• Oversee client proposals and correspond with clients on design intent and project progress
• Lead design team that maintains finish schedules, specifications, matrixes, and shop drawings.
• Act as a role model to Associate Designers, Junior Designers, and support teams.  Uphold and model Anyon company values and expectations related to client service, professionalism, and creativity.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 8+ years of experience in interior design, including construction and renovation projects
• Degree in Interior Design or related field 
• Highly proficient in AutoCAD, Sketchup, Studio Designer, Google Suite
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize workflow to meet deadlines
• A high taste level and extensive knowledge of the high-end design market
• Highly presentable, intelligent, and discreet with an outgoing, upbeat, and confident demeanor 
• Attention to detail and follow-through, a must
• Impeccable communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.  
• A proactive and teamwork-focused attitude with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively 
• A high level of professionalism.  Ability to plan effectively, while still maintaining an appropriate level of flexibility.
