The Counter Staff is responsible for putting forth a good impression of D'Amico & Sons by welcoming all guests promptly with a sincere greeting. This position is responsible for serving all guests in a pleasant and expedient manner and maintaining all service standards of D'Amico & Sons.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Genuinely greets and thanks all guests in a friendly and courteous manner.
2. Takes the guest's order, answer questions, offers samples, and makes the guest aware of any features or new items.
3. Suggestively sells at minimum one item to each guest.
4. Rings the order accurately and presents the total and make change.
5. Ensures that every guest receives a receipt.
6. Puts together orders and double checks that it is correct.
7. Prepares salads and beverages according to specifications.
8. Maintains high degree of cleanliness and sanitation of all counter & seating areas.
9. Maintains an appealing appearance of our deli and beverage cases.
10. Conveys any guest complaint or potential problems to the Manager.
11. Takes direction from the management team.
12. Exemplifies D'Amico & Sons Core Values.
13. Assists co-workers with stocking and answering the phone by the third ring.
14. Assists the DA with bussing, pre-bussing and running hot food.
15. Completes assigned side work.
16. Other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

1. Must be able to speak clearly and listen attentively to supervisors and all other employees.
2. Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to eight hours in length.
3. Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
4. Must possess finger dexterity to use small tools adeptly.
5. Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process.
6. Must be able to speak clearly and listen attentively to all staff and guests, most of whom speak English.
7. Must have the ability to consistently arrive at work for all scheduled shifts as assigned.
